Storyteller Farms is a brand new venue tucked away in Dixon! Even better, Madeleine + Ian’s moms own the venue together. There is no better way to christen this new wedding spot!

Their Story

The couple met at their first week of high school! They instantly crushed on each other, as 14 year olds do. Madeleine + Ian dated through high school, college, and even had a long distance stint when Madeleine went to grad school. They eventually settled back in Chicago and live in Lincoln Park.

Getting Ready, First Look, and Portraits

Madeleine got ready for the day at her parents’ house a few miles away, while Ian got ready at a house on the Storyteller Farms property. They each spent the morning with their close friends and wedding party. Their first look took place just next to their ceremony site, with more portraits and family photos following right after. Since the property is so big, family + guests were transported to the ceremony site via a fleet of large golf carts.

Storyteller Farms Wedding

The couple got married between two trees in a small clearing on the farm. Fun fact: Madeleine actually did all of the wedding branding herself and created imagery to represent this scene. As seen on the invitations and napkins, the “M” and the “I” was placed between the tree trunks in the design. It was amazing to see this come to life. Everyone got back on the golf carts for cocktail hour and dinner at the main barn.

We heard speeches from parents and friends during dinner. Eventually the couple announced that everyone should grab an espresso martini and make their way to the Disco Barn, another building just a short walk away. Guests were greeted by a live band, fun Dixon-related merch, and the largest disco ball I have ever seen. Pizza + beer fueled the rest of the evening as everyone danced their butts off! The night ended with surprise fireworks, which was the best conclusion to a perfect Storyteller Farms wedding day.
