Having a wedding at Morgan’s on Fulton means you’re combining the best that a Chicago summer has to offer: a memorable night with loved ones and an unbeatable view! Jackie + Vince knew this had to be the place where they tied the knot.
The couple met through work after Jackie moved to Chicago in 2016. Technically, Vince was Jackie’s assigned peer mentor. But despite sharing a cubicle wall, the two of them didn’t really interact with each other until Vince was leaving the company. At a work-sponsored happy hour, they finally had a real conversation and realized they had a lot in common. It’s very normal for coworkers to say “let’s stay in touch” when departing for a new company. In this instance, you can REALLY say they kept in touch!
Jackie + Vince both got ready in rooms at the Emily Hotel. It was conveniently around the corner from their venue, Morgan’s on Fulton. The two had their first look on the 6th floor of the hotel. Jackie + Vince aimed to have a wedding day where they could spend as much time with their family + friends as possible. So they decided to take portraits while walking the 250 feet around the corner! Once family photos were finished, the couple tucked away as guests arrived for their ceremony.
The couple was married by 2 of their good friends on the second floor of Morgan’s on Fulton. After their ceremony, guests filed upstairs to enjoy the stunning rooftop and grab a cocktail. Their reception details definitely felt like a contemporary take on the idea of an “urban jungle.” I couldn’t be more obsessed with the floral design! Jackie + Dan entered their reception and had their first dance to “Just the Two of Us” by Bill Withers and Grover Washington, Jr. Once speeches finished, everyone packed the dance floor and spent the rest of the night partying with the couple.
I absolutely love photographing weddings at Morgan’s on Fulton. I hope to return to this venue very soon!
