Tired of seeing these fabulous folks? Nah, me neither. Claire + Amelia had a SECOND wedding at The Lytle House so that they could celebrate with more family + friends.

Portraits

In true Claire + Amelia fashion, the couple got ready together in their apartment in Lakeview. I picked them up and we went over to the South Pond by the zoo. We strolled around the park while taking portraits in the *perfect* 75 degree weather. I loved that it was just the 3 of us running around for a bit. The couple was able to get all the reception-jitters out of the way early before seeing family + friends.

The Lytle House

Once we got to their venue, Claire + Amelia dropped off their stuff and greeted their families before taking some group photos. Our good friend Joanna Coleman was finishing up the florals just as we arrived. Claire, Joanna and I worked at Madewell together a long time ago, so we’ve all known each other for quite a bit! Being able to work with friends in the wedding industry and also have them as clients is an enormous blessing. Photographing Claire + Amelia’s wedding was SO much better because of Joanna’s incredible floral skills.

After more portraits around the block, the couple made their grand entrance and greeted their guests during cocktail hour. Since the two had already gotten married in Maine 2 months earlier, they decided to forgo another ceremony. Cocktail hour ended and their reception began, where we heard speeches from two of the couple’s closest friends and Claire’s sister. A first dance from the couple led to the most incredible rager of the year!

Of course, it wouldn’t be the best dance party of the year without DRAG QUEENS! The crowd went absolutely WILD for Derry Queen and Neutral Gena’s surprise performance to “Rain on Me” by Lady Gaga / Ariana Grande. That kicked off the rest of the night as the couple partied and danced their butts off with all of their best friends. Even I put my camera gear down at one point so I could join!

Am I obsessed with Claire + Amelia? Absolutely.
