Maggie + Tom’s Bridgeport Art Center wedding was my biggest of 2024! Over 325 loved ones gathered together to celebrate these two.

Their Story

From the couple: “We may have gone to rival colleges (University of Michigan and Notre Dame), but that didn’t stop us from swiping right! We had our first date on May 8, 2019 that lasted 5 hours at a Spanish tapas restaurant with a nightcap at a speakeasy bar with live jazz. Safe to say the sparks were flying from in night one! Luckily, we were able to grow even closer during the pandemic. We knew if we could make it through Covid and even have fun together, this was a sign we were in it for the long haul.

On December 16, 2022, our holiday tradition of going to a fancy tasting menu dinner was even more special. Tom proposed! We have bonded over the last 4.5 years over our shared values, dedication to loved ones, and our love of food, travel, and adventure.”

Getting Ready, First Look + Portraits

Maggie + Tom both got ready at the Marriott Marquis Chicago in the South Loop. Although Maggie didn’t have a wedding party, she decided to invite her close girlfriends to hang out while she got dressed. The couple wanted their first moment to be both equally special and private. This meant having the event to occur in Maggie’s hotel suite. After they read private vows to each other, we hopped on the trolley for portraits. Once we arrived at the venue, we took a few more portraits at the Bridgeport Art Center in the Sculpture Garden.

Maggie + Tom’s gorgeous ceremony was followed by a fun cocktail hour. Their reception began with a few toasts from siblings and parents before guests enjoyed dinner. After Maggie + Tom danced with their parents, they newlyweds shared a first dance to “Butterflies” by Kacey Musgraves. The dance floor opened up as guests made their way over to the dessert section. The rest of the night was spent eating sweets, dancing, and celebrating Maggie + Tom.
