Sometimes a session is too good not to share! I had an incredible time photographing Elizabeth + David during their Old Town / North Ave Beach engagement session last month. These two couldn’t keep their hands off each other and I couldn’t stop taking photos!
It was one of those nights where everything was perfect– 75 degrees with bright sun and some wind (for dramatic effect, obviously). We started off the evening by walking through Old Town, where we continuously sighed as we stared at all of the pretty homes. The couple’s sweet pooch Tucker joined us during our stroll and of COURSE became the center of attention! Elizabeth + David made the smart decision to have their friend Emily join us and watch Tucker when he was on the sidelines. This is definitely the best way to incorporate a pet in an engagement session– with the help of a friend who accompanies us! This way we didn’t have to worry about our little furry friend when we want to take some photos without him.
We then strolled over to North Ave Beach, which wasn’t a long walk at all. One of the best things about Old Town is its proximity to the lakefront. All you have to do is cross Clark street, walk through the park and BOOM! Water! The evening may have been windy, but it added some great texture in the waves and in Elizabeth’s hair. A beautiful golden hour swept across the skyline as these two cuddled + kissed on the lake path. There were spins, giggles, canoodling, and lots of words of praise for little Tucker. He walked with us the entire way! I also want to give another shoutout to Emily, Tucker’s keeper. She was just as much of a rockstar as the couple.
This North Ave Beach engagement session was an absolute dream. Elizabeth + David are CLEARLY super in love and I’m lucky I got to capture it. I can’t wait for your wedding in October of 2022! :)
