Guess what, folks? You don’t need to be engaged in order to get a photoshoot of you and your partner- all you need is to be in love. For Michael + David this was just the case! These guys are celebrating their 2 year anniversary next month and what better way to celebrate than a photoshoot at North Avenue Beach!
We met an hour before sunset by North Avenue beach on a BEAUTIFUL Sunday evening. The place was as packed as possible during a pandemic, with the actual beach closed to the public (until the lifeguards left) and families dangling their feet off sides of “S curve” walkway that overlooks the skyline. With the exception of masks, it made us almost forget about everything happening in the world. The sunset was incredible, something Chicagoans aren’t able to take for granted. We took advantage of the weather and the views, taking photos all around the beach area. Magic was definitely in the air.
“I was going to Six Flags Out n the park (the gay night in sept that’s only like $40? And after hours from 8-12am it’s so fun),” Michael said. “I was going with my friend Walton who drove and I was the passenger, David was a +1 to a friend who joined. We went around the rides and tried to ride together and finally did on the last ride. And then we went home and went to a club after completely sober and danced hahah then we just kept seeing each other!” For David, he said he knew the connection was there when Michael sang a Michele Branch song in the car. They’ve been crazy about each other ever since!
I really enjoy being friends with Michael + David. We talk about life, politics, and Rupaul’s Drag Race conspiracy theories. I love these two. But most importantly, they love each other and it definitely shows. I can’t wait to see where life takes them!
