Brunch, anyone? That’s exactly what Natalie + Josh decided to do for their wedding at Revolution Brewing they held on a Sunday morning. Let me tell you, I could eat breakfast food ALL DAY!
“We’ve known each other for a long time,” Natalie told me. “Josh had been good friends with my brother since high school. Anddddd I may or may not have had a crush on him, even back then. After several years of being friends and seeing each other once in a while, we reconnected when I moved back to Chicago. Small talk turned into a date, one thing let to another, and we never really looked back.
We started spending the holidays together and getting to know each other’s families. We also started making new traditions of our own, like cutting down a Christmas tree for our city condo. When we moved in together, keeping things simple and enjoying our daily life was really important to us. It has been the source of connection and laughter for us. Taking drives in Josh’s Mustang, doing home projects, and improving our cooking and grilling skills have been some of our best memories. Having family and friends that have known each other for so long has been so much fun. We are so excited to celebrate this special moment in our lives with them!”
Folks arrived around noon, just after Natalie hid away in the Bridal room. There were donuts + beer (the perfect combination) for guests to take before they sat down for the ceremony. Everyone started signing their guestbook records and admiring their gorgeous pancake CAKE, adorned with Josh’s grandparents’ cake topper. Once everyone was seated, Natalie walked down the aisle with her dad toward an eagerly awaiting Josh. Before we knew it, the couple shared their first kiss as husband + wife! Naturally, the first thing they did after walking back up the aisle was sign their marriage license while chugging beer.
Cocktail hour was spent sipping and laughing while listening to Natalie + Josh’s friend Matt play the guitar on stage. Once the breakfast buffet was ready, folks sat at their tables for food + speeches. Everyone laughed as they listened to the maid of honor and best man share funny stories from the couple’s past. When everyone was done eating, the couple hit the dance floor for their first dance. The rest of the afternoon was spent giggling + hugging while having some of the city’s finest craft beer.
Each and every Revolution Brewing wedding I photograph is amazing, but this brunch celebration was one for the books. Natalie + Josh are the best people in the whole world and I can’t believe I had the privilege of photographing their wedding. CONGRATS! xx
